Dr. Brunner completed an NIH Postdoctoral Traineeship with Dr. Brandon King at the University of Florida where he investigated the bioactivity of adipose tissue in calorie-restricted mice and rhesus monkeys. He received his Ph.D. in 2003 from the University of Pennsylvania where he investigated the molecular basis of metabolic regulation in hibernating arctic ground squirrels.
Dr. Brunner manages all aspects of contract research for 9 national and international clients in the field of nutrigenomics. He has also co-developed gene expression database; this web-accessible resource available to clients on a subscription basis. Dr. Brunner’s efforts have resulted in several peer-reviewed publications as well as coverage in major news media outlets.
